Chevrolet Colorado Rally Concept revealed in Buenos Aires Motor Show 2011

Chevrolet has revealed its new Chevrolet Colorado Rally Concept, which is apparently based on the Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck that the General Motors has introduced at the 5^th International Motor Show in Buenos Aires.

The concept, which is the second developed by GM, is intended to show where the automaker company will be taking the Chevy pickup, which will be the next generation of Chevrolet. On the other hand, the Colorado Show Truck that had its debut at the Bangkok International Motor Show in March is the first.

The new Chevrolet Colorado Rally was created by GM’s South America design team and it comes as a four-wheel-drive vehicle, featuring 18 inch aluminum rims that are fitted to 305/60R18 tires. To the powering, the vehicle will feature a 2.8 liter turbodiesel engine – the same as the Bangkok Colorado show truck.

Hyundai has confirmed that its new model, the 2012 Hyundai Elantra Coupe, will have its fall 2011 debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. This is based on an Inside Line report. This new model will appear and is aimed as a direct competitor to the new Civic from Honda.

The new Elantra comes in a new appearance that it has a body style that is a bit different. Although it is expected for being a coupe, the Hyundai Elantra will be mechanically similar to the sedan version of the same model, the one that was sold out in huge numbers in the United States. The new Elantra Coupe has the same engine as the sedan version. The power of both cars comes from a single engine – a 1.81-liter unit – that can produce a power of 148 horsepower with a peak torque of 131 lb ft or 177 Nm. The transmission system that is paired to the engine is a 6-speed automatic that thanks to which the Elantra offers a fuel consumption rating of 28 mpg urban 40 mpg highway.

A new company called Arrinera Automotive now finally shows its position in automotive by presenting its first prototype of Arrinera Automotive Supercar model. Last three years, many people had hesitated that a first supercar model would be built by the newly formed Polish company. Now, those hesitations are not actually proved since the company shows off the first real-life prototype.

The design of the Arrinera is most likely similar to the Italian style, Lamborghini’s Murcielago / Reventon series particularly the design of its shape of the headlamps and front air vents. The design is a little different with the original sketches from 2008, featuring an edgy styling and certain details. However, The Arrinera two-door is nicely equipped, available swathed in Maybach-grade leather, aluminum and carbon fiber, inside the cabin. Aston Martin V12 Zagato 2012 Debut at the Nurburgring

We just never satisfied with the sexy Aston Martin V12 Zagato 2012 as it have a new gallery of the coachbuilt coupe at its official race debut last weekend at the 53rd ADAC ACAS H&R-Cup leg of the VLN, stands for Veranstaltergemeinschaft Langstreckenpokal Nurburgring, at Germany’s notorious Nurburgring circuit.

The V12 Zagato completed an amount of its schedule laps of the famed circuit, decorated in full race trim. However, it is planned to have some more performances through the upcoming weeks as the VLN series progresses. According to the Aston Martin spokesman Matthew Clarke, the race debut is just the car’s first treat trial and any issues determined will be worked on as

While 0 to 62 mph will take a long 10.1 seconds, fuel-economy is estimated to come in at 41 mpg (in U.S. standards). Next in line is the X1 xDrive20d (or sDrive20d), which is also powered by a 4-cylinder turbocharged engine making 177-hp and a peak torque of 258 lb-ft. 0 to 62 mph comes in 8.4 seconds while fuel-economy is estimated at 43 mpg. 2012 Mercedes-Benz SL

The 2012 Mercedes-Benz SL will be introduced in 2011 in the US as an all new light-weight roadster model that should be even better to drive than the current vehicle. The new Mercedes-Benz vehicle is scheduled to be unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show, and it should be very good competition in its segment for the BMW’s rumored 1 Series-based roadster which is also due out in 2011.

Mercedes has decided to introduce a new aluminum construction technique on the new SLS vehicle and this new construction will be also included in the 2012 SL. North American sales of the SLS will start in 2010 as a 2011 model year vehicle. The 2011 SLS will be the first stand-alone production model to be designed and developed completely by Merecedes-Benz’s AMG division.

The new aluminum construction will allow the next-generation SLS and SL to be lower in overall weight and to have sportier driving dynamics and handling that should impress customers. The aluminum body structure weights 531 pounds and will be made out of a combination of forged, cast, and sheet aluminum.

The Mercedes-Benz SL has been manufactured by Mercedes since 1954. The SL badge comes from the German words Sport Leicht which means Sport Light. The SL550 and SL600’s engines have remained unchanged for 2009 for the US. The SL550 has a 5.5L V8 engine that produces 382 horsepower, and the SL600 has a twin-turbo V12 engine that produces 517 horsepower. Until 2012, SL customers will have to be happy with the refreshed version of the fourth-generation SL. This generation of the two-seater sports car that was originally introduced five years ago. It is not clear yet which engine options will be available in the 2012 SL.

The 2012 should bring back memories for enthusiasts of the original model which was considered sporty and lightweight. Mercedes has been working on this roadster for a long time. The smaller and lighter 2012 model was originally unveiled as a concept vehicle in 2000. Mercedes has finally chosen to introduce the model in response to growing demand for smaller, more fuel efficient vehicles.

The 2012 Mercedes-Benz SL should be available just in time to complete with BMW’s rumored 1 Series-based roadster. By having a lower weight than the current generation, it should provide customers with improved driving characteristics.
