2012 MINI Coupe Official Details Announced


The MINI Coupe now arrives with its several technical details following the presentation of the all new 2012 BMW 1 Series. The firm’s characteristic covers the MINI and it seems that it has dismissed the 2009 concept. With aero package on the top end of the coupe such as modified rear bumper, side skirts and extended wheel arches that leave room for larger alloy wheels, made the vehicle looks sportier.
The MNI cooper is available in three choices models includes the 2012 MINI Coupe which produces the output of 90 kW/122 horsepower, the MINI Cooper SD Coupe with the output of 105 kW/ 143 horsepower and the MINI Cooper S Coupe which produces 135 kW/184 horsepower. As the first time the MINI also equipped with active rear spoiler which extends automatically at 80 km/h.
An innovative ‘helmet roof’ along with integral roof spoiler featured is aimed to optimize airflow at the higher speeds. Compared to the regular MINI, the MINI Coupe stands at 25 millimeters lower. Longer storage and loading capacity provided behind its driver and passenger seats. The standard safety features includes Electric Power Steering and DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) while the DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) with EDLC (Electronic Differential Lock Control) comes as optional features and only comes as standard feature on MINI John Cooper Works Coupe.
Less trim options are featured on its interior. The car is created based on go-kart feeling with well tuned chassis of the three door hatchback model. The Cooper is estimated to go on sale from the end of this year or at the beginning of 2012 while the roadster model will be unveiled nearly to the end of next year.
